THINKING BEFORE PAINTING
I have often been asked about how do I plan what to paint ? Where do I take ideas for my artwork. The answer to me is conceptualizing – following an action or process in order to produce ideas /notion/concept for my paintings.

I know when the ideas brainstorm your mind and lot of inspiration and reasoning process come alive beforegetting started towards the final piece of work.I believe nothing can chase the ideas and the concept while also having a huge impression on our brains than what is around us as an established resources. Theconcern is to how one observe things. My practice generally involves this approach.
- Mind mapping
- Gather ideas while travelling/ observing
- Gallery / Museum visits
- Read/ Research/ Artist reference
- Knowledge of relevant Painting history
- Making points
- Putting ideas down on paper/sketchbook/Journal
- Seek Feedback
- Random drawings.
- Material resourcing
- Ideas into different mediums as well
- Surface preparation (Canvas, Wood etc.)
- In detail drawing
- Systematic progression
“I am attracted to the fact that the result is not fully predictable”
My way of working is very basic in terms of painting process, what is surprising to me is the outcome. I just have a glimpse of my expectations of the final imaginary in my mind which is intend to see changes while in further development. At times I use try and error method. I intend to add and put things as has been rooted in my day to day experiences and begin to filter than in my work, I sometimes like something interesting coming to mind with no presumptions and this is how it works and I have learned to trust. I also let myself give consent to fail and think about an artist once said that “Art discipline is unpredictable and a site where vulnerability is thought as a good quality.” I think these small challenges and failure do help me to grow and reach another higher level.
OBSERVATION + RECORDING +ANALYSING + MAKING = PIECE OF ART ‘PAINTING’
It seems that my personal fascination in seeing and observing modern, urban, as well conventional architecture and interiors of places I visit and the experiences I can memorise leads to secondary phase of developing a painting where I really need to concentrate and support my works with relevant reading and research into the notion of a project. Additionally seeking insight exploring paintings, artists references and photography because I think they work as a draft and suggestion for an artwork. Photos plays an elementary subject of many paintings and I always think of something I have seen before or take a photograph.
Recording then Reflecting
In an enquiry based learning method of structural process reflective models of research file, visual documentary into sketchbook has promoted immediate analysis into in-depth methodical findings of critical discussions, experiments using materials and artists approach conductive to find key ideas as fundamental for painting execution.Furthermore drawings, small scale paintings and profoundly collages on canvas and paper, as an instantaneous consideration has been central to my research. Besides flourishing aid to problem solving explicitly looking at past museum and exhibition visits. The mind listing clarifies discipline of concept drawing onto surface. I believe I have obtain more independent learning mechanism to determine relevant subjects moreover encourage me via eliminating hurdle of initial establishing an appropriate conceptual framework of work.
